Udinese, Napoli join Inter Milan at top of Serie A
Oct 27, 2008 - 1:14 AM Udinese and Napoli both won to join Inter Milan in a three-way tie at the top of Serie A after Jose Mourinho's side were held to a goalless draw at home to 10-man Genoa.Inter began the day as clear leaders and despite the dismissal of midfielder Ivan Juric with an hour gone they failed to find a way past a resolute defense.
Udinese's impressive start to the campaign continued with a convincing 3-1 win against last season's runners-up Roma.
Antonio Di Natale scored twice to add to Antonio Floro Flores' first-half goal, condemning them to a third consecutive league defeat. Roma captain Francesco Totti converted a late penalty.
A Sebastiano Siviglia own goal after 61 minutes sealed a 1-0 win for Napoli at Lazio.
AC Milan and Fiorentina are a point off the leaders after they also won.
Kaka scored the only goal of the game as Milan edged past Atalanta 1-0, while Fiorentina beat Palermo 3-1 with former Chelsea forward Adrian Mutu scoring twice and Italy striker Alberto Gilardino adding the other.
Sampdoria and Reggina both won for the first time in the league this season with 2-0 wins against Bologna and Lecce respectively, former Manchester City striker Bernardo Corradi scoring twice from the penalty spot for Reggina.
Cagliari climbed out of the relegation zone with a 2-0 win against Chievo.
