Revolution F Twellman out indefinitely
Oct 28, 2008 - 8:02 PM FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- The New England Revolution on Tuesday announced that forward Taylor Twellman will be out indefinitely with concussion-related symptoms.Twellman, 28, sustained the injury on August 30 when he was punched in the head by Los Angeles Galaxy goalkeeper Steve Cronin, while heading in a goal.
After missing the next game, Twellman finished the season. He tied for the team lead eight goals last season.
"Taylor has been experiencing some on-going issues related to the concussion he suffered against LA," Revolution vice president Michael Burns said. "Concussions, especially repeated concussions, are very dangerous and the most important thing for Taylor and his future - both off the field and on - is to get the rest he needs, so he can return to normal as quickly as possible."
