PSV Eindhoven falls to NEC Nijmegen
Nov 8, 2008 - 10:36 PM By PA SportsTickerPSV Eindhoven slipped to its second defeat in five days with a 1-0 loss at NEC Nijmegen on Saturday.
Peter Wisgerhof scored the only goal after 12 minutes as PSV failed to recover from its 3-0 midweek reverse to Marseille in the Champions League.
The win moved NEC level on 18 points with their fourth-placed opponents, with the duo four points behind leaders NAC Breda, which beat De Graafschap, 2-0, on Friday night.
Willem II inflicted more misery on struggling Roda JC with a 2-1 victory.
Two goals from Said Boutahar in the 28th and 75th minutes proved enough for the home side.
Substitute Jeanvion Matondo scored a late consolation for Roda, which slipped to its third successive league defeat.
Also on Saturday, Heracles Almelo and Vitesse Arnhem played out a goalless draw.
