Hoeness tight lipped over Donovan
Nov 13, 2008 - 6:29 PM MUNICH, Germany (Ticker) -- Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has been impressed with Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan, who has been training with the club. However, Hoeness would not comment on whether Major League Soccer's Player of the Year would join the team on a regular basis.
Donovan is expected to return to the United States at the end of his 10-day spell, after which time Hoeness hinted the club may consider looking into a permanent deal.
"He has only been here for two days and so I cannot say too much, but what I have seen has been OK. He can certainly kick the ball," Hoeness said.
"Donovan is just here for 10 days and only after that can I say anything more."
No one has shouted yet.
