Shock trades G Cash to Storm
Feb 20, 2008 - 3:17 AM SEATTLE (Ticker) - The Detroit Shock traded All-Star guard Swin Cash to the Seattle Storm on Tuesday for the fourth pick in the WNBA draft.A two-time All-Star who helped the Shock win two league championships in her six seasons with Detroit, Cash averaged 11.1 points and 6.1 rebounds last season.
The second overall pick out of Connecticut in 2002, the 6-1 Cash has averaged 12.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists for her career.
"Having Swin on our roster is a huge boost going into this season," Storm coach Brian Agler said. "She brings a great scoring ability, but also tremendous experience. Her playoff experience and championships are exactly the kind of attributes we're looking for."
