Mercury re-sign F-C Smith
Mar 11, 2008 - 6:58 PM PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday re-signed forward-center Tangela Smith to a three-year contract.The Mercury also acquired forward L'Coe Willingham, signing her to a two-year deal.
Acquired from Minnesota in 2007 for the draft rights of Lindsay Harding, Smith averaged 12.6 points and 6.5 rebounds in her first season with Phoenix.
"I am very excited about re-signing with the Mercury," Smith said. "The entire organization and city embraced me with open arms and made my first year in Phoenix the most memorable season of my career."
Willingham averaged 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds last season with the Connecticut Sun.
