Monarchs F Brunson has knee surgery
Aug 7, 2008 - 12:42 AM SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- Sacramento Monarchs forward Rebekkah Brunson underwent surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear in her right knee, the team announced on Wednesday.The surgery was performed by team doctor Kirk Lewis. Brunson is expected to be out four to six weeks.
An All-Star in 2007, Brunson is averaging 11.2 points and 7.2 rebounds in 27 games. Brunson has career averages of 8.2 points in 6.1 rebounds in five seasons with Sacramento.
The WNBA is in the midst of an Olympic break to allow players to compete for their respective national teams.
