Lynx G Wiggins has surgery
Sep 25, 2008 - 5:18 PM MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Minnesota Lynx announced Thursday that guard Candice Wiggins underwent arthroscopic surgery for a lateral meniscal tear in her right knee earlier this week at the Stanford University Medical Center.Wiggins, who underwent the procedure Monday, is expected to be recovered when the Lynx begin training camp in May.
Selected with the third overall pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft, Wiggins suffered the injury earlier this month and missed the final two games of the season.
She ranked 15th in WNBA scoring this past season, averaging 15.7 points for the Lynx (16-18), who tied for last in the Western Conference.
