Pittsburgh (40-45) at Milwaukee (47-39) 7:05 p.m. EDT
MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- J.J. Hardy and the Milwaukee Brewers aim to continue their recent home dominance against the Pittsburgh Pirates when the teams continue a three-game series Saturday.
Milwaukee has won seven straight games against Pittsburgh at Miller Park, including a 9-1 triumph in the series opener Friday.
Hardy went 4-for-5 with a home run and extended his hitting streak to 16 games in Friday's victory. He is hitting .448 (30-for-67) with six homers and 16 RBI over that span.
Righthander Dave Bush (4-8, 5.06 ERA) takes the mound for the Brewers. He is just 1-4 with a 6.17 ERA over seven games - six starts - in his career against the Pirates.
Bush took the loss in his last outing, giving up five runs - four earned - in five innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.
The Pirates counter with lefthander Paul Maholm (5-5, 4.28) on the hill, hoping he can continue his string of solid outings. Maholm is 3-0 with a 3.05 ERA in his last six starts.
The lefthander did not factor in the decision in his last appearance, giving up two runs over seven innings in Pittsburgh's 4-3 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Monday.
