ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (Ticker) -- Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Carlos Pena is not in the starting lineup for Friday's Game Two of the American League Division Series against the Chicago White Sox.

Pena had been in the original lineup, but was scratched in favor of Willy Aybar after continuing to suffer from eye irritation.

Pena left Game One after two innings Thursday due to blurred vision in his eye.

Pena struck out in his only at-bat in the bottom of the first, then played the field in the second before leaving the game. He was replaced by Aybar.

Rays manager Joe Maddon said on the game broadcast that Pena had recently scratched his eye in home accident. Maddon said he removed Pena from the game as a precaution.

Pena led the Rays, who are in the postseason for the first time in their 11-year history, in homers (31) and RBI (102) this season.

Rookie Evan Longoria provided the power Thursday, hitting a pair of homers to lead the Rays to a 6-4 win.
