MIAMI (Ticker) -- Josh Childress was in rare form.
Childress scored four of his 25 points in overtime as the Atlanta Hawks held on for a 106-100 victory over the Miami Heat in Wednesday's preseason matchup.
All-Star Joe Johnson netted 21 points and high-flying Josh Smith pulled down 15 rebounds for the Hawks, who shot 45 percent (35-of-77) from the field and overcame 21 turnovers.
The Hawks took advantage of Miami's foul trouble in the second quarter, making 14-of-18 free throws to wipe away a 14-point deficit and grab a 50-48 edge at halftime.
Childress wasn't the only player in mid-season form.
Udonis Haslem collected 22 points and 12 boards to lead the way for the Heat, who shot 42 percent (39-of-91) and registered 10 blocks.
Newcomer Smush Parker scored 14 points off the bench and All-Star Shaquille O'Neal poured in 10 points in 15 minutes as Miami fell to 0-2 in preseason play.
