Denver (10-6) at Minnesota (4-10) 8:00 p.m. EST
MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves may not be the best team in the NBA, but they can certainly bring the drama on the court.
The Timberwolves will be searching for their fourth win in six games when they face the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
Minnesota earned a stirring win on Friday, battling back after squandering a lead against the Oklahoma City Thunder. And when the end of the game came around, Mike Miller stepped up and drained a jumper with less than a second remaining.
Miller's shot gave the Timberwolves a 105-103 win and their third victory in the last five games after starting the season 1-8.
While Miller provides a threat from the outside, Al Jefferson is turning into a dominate presence in the post. The 23-year-old is averaging over 22 points and 10 rebounds - one of only three people in the NBA, along with Chris Bosh and Dwight Howard, to average more than 20 and 10.
The Nuggets have one seven of 10 but are coming off a 105-101 loss to the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday. J.R. Smith came off the bench to score 32 points and Carmelo Anthony chipped in 24 in the setback.
The last time these teams played - a 90-84 win by Denver on November 16 - Chauncey Billups was the hero for the Nuggets, pouring in 26 points to lead six players in double figures. Smith and Anthony had 14 apiece in the win.
