New Jersey (8-7) at Phoenix (11-6), 8:00pm EST
PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The Phoenix Suns expect to get star point guard Steve Nash back on Sunday as they host the surging New Jersey Nets.
The two-time league MVP missed Thursday's game with the Miami Heat because of a bruised thigh that he suffered two nights earlier in Minnesota. The Suns clearly needed his services, as they dropped a 107-92 decision.
Though he is expected to return, he'll have to contend with a budding star in Nets point guard Devin Harris. Now in his fifth NBA season, the 6-3 guard has taken over as the team's go-to guy - and consequently, New Jersey has begun to resemble a formidable opponent.
Harris dropped 34 on the Utah Jazz on their home floor on Saturday, leading the Nets to a 105-88 rout - their sixth win in eight games. Vince Carter has been pulling plenty of the scoring load as well, averaging 23.5 points.
With a win, the Nets would close out their Western Conference road trip with a respectable 3-1 mark. The Suns are just 4-4 at home.
