CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Derrick Rose just picked up the NBA Rookie of the Month Award. If his career continues to move along like this, there will be plenty more hardware to follow.
Rose and the Chicago Bulls return home after a seven-game road trip to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.
Selected first overall after leading the University of Memphis to the national title game as a freshman last season, Rose ranks first among all Eastern Conference rookies in scoring (18.4), assists (6.0) and minutes (38.0).
He collected 18 points and 10 assists on Sunday as the Bulls ended their road trip with a 103-92 win at Philadelphia.
Chicago finished its longest trip of the season 3-4, falling a game under .500 in the process.
The Sixers will lean on Elton Brand, who had 21 points and 12 rebounds on Sunday, hitting 8-of-15 shots.
Philadelphia allowed the Bulls to shoot 51 percent (38-of-73) from the field, including 8-of-15 from beyond the arc.
