Blazers' Roy, Oden questionable for Tuesday

Dec 30, 2008 - 3:19 PM PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) - The Portland Trail Blazers may have to face the Boston Celtics minus two key players.

Leading scorer Brandon Roy and center Greg Oden are both listed as questionable for Tuesday's home game against the Celtics, who lead the NBA with a 28-4 record.

Roy strained his right hamstring late in Saturday's 102-89 victory over Toronto and Oden injured his left ankle in practice on Monday.

Leading the team with 23 points per game, Roy saw limited action in practice on Monday.

Oden, who had one of his better games Saturday with 16 points and 10 rebounds, did get some good news regarding his ankle as X-rays came back negative.

The oft-injured rookie is averaging 7.9 points and 7.3 rebounds in 25 games for Portland (19-12) this season.

Months after being selected by Portland with the top overall pick in the 2007 draft, Oden underwent microfracture knee surgery and missed the entire season.

The 7-footer made his NBA debut in October this year, but suffered a foot injury in that contest and missed the next two weeks.
