Pistons assign G Acker, F Sharpe to D-League
Jan 2, 2009 - 5:11 PM AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- The Detroit Pistons on Friday assigned guard Alex Acker and rookie forward Walter Sharpe to Fort Wayne of the D-League.Acker has appeared in five games for the Pistons this season, averaging 1.4 points and 0.4 rebounds in 3.0 minutes per game. He was originally taken by Detroit with the 60th overall selection in the 2005 draft.
Sharpe has played in three contests for Detroit, averaging 0.7 points. He was picked by Seattle in last year's draft and sent to Detroit in a draft day trade.
