Hornets C Chandler ejected for fighting

Jan 3, 2009 - 4:41 AM PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- New Orleans Hornets center Tyson Chandler was ejected in the third quarter of Friday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers for throwing a forearm at Joel Przybilla.

Away from the play, Chandler slapped down Przybilla's left hand - which is wrapped due to injury - and the Blazers' center responded with a slight shove.

Chandler answered with a hard left forearm to Przybilla's chest and the referees quickly intervened before the altercation escalated any further.

The officials looked at the replay monitor and threw Chandler out of the game for a flagrant-2 foul, while Przybilla was allowed to stay in the game.
